Dancehallreggae.com Member arrested due to copyright infringement

As reported on Tuesday, February 24 Scrappy from dancehallreggae.com was arrested after a police search being conducted at his home and lots being seized.

A couple was arrested after the police seized thousands of dollars worth of illegal copyrighting equipment from their house.

Merton and Debra McKenzie of Paradise, Norwood St. James are booked to appear in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate's Court on March 10.
According to Detective Inspector Lindo of the Organized Crimes Unit, reggae artiste, Patrick "Tony Rebel" Barrett reported that DVD's of his annual Rebel Salute stage show were being sold via a website.
During police investigations, the McKenzie's address was discovered.
Members of the Organized Crime Unit went to the house about five Monday morning and conducted a search.
A master copy and duplicates of Rebel Salute were allegedly found.
The police say other DVD's and CD's of movies not yet released in Jamaica were also found in the house, along with several computers, including two lap tops.
