Bashfire Soundsystem - Roots'n'Culture Vol.1

As their last tape got "Tape of the month" on Germaican, we thought weŽd spare some time with the new one and give it a hook..
After their first mixtape got "Tape of the Month" at Germaican Observer, the Bashfire Soundsystem from Berlin brings out their second one. While the first tape was more hardcore bashment style, the second one goes under the flag of roots and culture.
But nomen ain't always omen: the ones seeking oldschool 70s style roots reggae on this tape will be disappointed, therefor those who want to hear the top roots tunes of the last ten years will find them here. No big surprises, no digged-out gems, no rare tunes, but just the hits summed up in a nice mix. The highlight for me is definitely the Taffari special on my all-time-favorite riddim called Java, check this out, its wicked !
The mix itself is pretty okay, on some parts not 100% perfect but smooth enough. Perhaps they could use the lickshot box a little less...
