A very surprising production. Tony Kelly laid this riddim and French aswell as Jamaican artists voiced pon it..
The riddim itself reminds a little bit on the Superstar, but not that cheesy and with much more solid samples. It's based on an ascendent synth bassline and some (partly distorted) strings. The drums & perussions are very solid and quite complexly built. Not only the obligatory bassdrum and snare is present - the bassdrum in syncopised by marimba sounds, combined with 1/16 hihats. The right riddim to gain lotsa gunfingers and lighers at a dance !

Now to the tunes. There are 14 tunes avaible on the riddim. BJP (whoever this is) delivers with "Chuckie" a classical fiyah-bun tune in Patois, burning b***men here and there and sounding pretty Chico-like. Daddy Mory brings a pretty good sounding tune called "Javel Man" in French., followed by a man called Fullstyle with "Move". The veteran General Levy, known from various MC parts of jungle tracks, delivers a really disappointing tune: "Real Top Jiggaz". Sounds like a bad Eminem cover. "Real top jiggers, please stand up..." I would have expected more from a veteran like him. Liberty King with "Make Your Choice" is nothing special. Far more interesting are the two tunes by Lord Kossity, who delivers the riddim-name-giving tune "Assasinat" and another tune called "Bling Bling". Although he is based in French hiphop scene, he carries a very very tuff dancehall style singing in French. The Trey & Captain Nico tune is very interesting aswell. Imagine a Sizzla singing in French, and you have that style, at least of the toasting part, not of the refrain). Very nice ! As I already mentioned, the riddim also features two top deejays from Jamaica. They are Red Rat with "More Gyal" and Spragga Benz with "Keep Your Head Up". The Red Rat tune is a quite cool girls tune, nothing really outstanding but sure quite a good tune for a selection. The Spragga Benz tune is not that good, but it's just about taste. All in all, a very nice selection on an excellent riddim, get your hands on it if you see the 45s somewhere !
