Day two brought quite a lot of surprises: A damn hot day from the early morning hours on, Bass, endless queues at the shower site, Dancehall, many nice and new acquaintances, Bass, Dancehall, endless good acts, one thunderstorm a warm-up, burning sun again, dancehall, bass, unpredictable police-actions, still more Bass and Dancehall and last but not least a thunderstorm, that rocked the crowd like Massive B. did the day before. Last mentioned nearly took the roof off Cla.at HQ, the reason why took down the tent and put everything together as more storms were forecast. Pity that plans had to be changed accordingly to leave the place at about 1h at night to reach back home.Well, almost forgot - more Dancehall, more bass all over the place...

Prolly everyone who attended the place since friday was already pretty dunn, but nevertheless - most people still didn´t seem to have enough of pumping riddims and hardcore beatz. Softer, especially older tunes didn´t show up on too many peoples preference lists over the day and therefore didnt go over many peoples Car-Hifi´s. A pity as we thought short time after, people seem?ed to have 100% adjusted to Dancehall leaving no space for anything else.

Our Crew spent the better part of the day chilling at the tent-yard, whilst the first sounds already warmed up on the festival-area. Namely Mango Tree (D), Lucky Punch (D), Roots Commandment (D), Skill Battery Soundsystem (D) did a great job in the large tent, while Selector Tigger (Boss Hifi) (CH), Ragganoia (D), Rebel Radio (A), Culture Rock (D) and Phlatline Soundsystem ft. Mystic Dan (D) played the massive in the small one. All Sounds were said to have great sets played, taking em in the upper league of the Dancehall-Soundsystems present at Hahn. Nuff respect also to the massive playing in the Dub-Shelter that always attracted people to chill and dub through this hot summers day.

Saxon Sound, appearing with Musclehead, opened their show with a great and promising set like one could expect from them, but couldn´t play against the massive that seemed to have been absolutely dancehall-blinded. All Massive wanted to continue Saturday´s party it seemed and so Saxon turned to what worked the night before and therefore got lost in mostly recent stuff that got played over and over again on Saturday already. Early evening was opened by Killamanjaro (represented by Freddy Krueger and Geniuz) with a simply outstanding appearance compared to the overall quality. Freddy put all his energy into the gig from the very first to the very last moment and were the only act being able to make the crowd go hype on virtually every reggae-style mentioned above? including enuff contemporary riddims also. Outstanding music, outstanding presentation of it. Over all, Jaro was probably the only Soundsystem that could satisfy most Reggae-Coinnaisseurs´ high expectations into this event.

Massive gone mad..

PowPow had a hard job playing against one of the mainacts of the festival - Buju Banton - but could convince a majority of the Dancehall-minded audience to stay at their show and "celebrate". Buju explained his intention to show up with words like "Me nuh call yuh fi jump up an down, me waan fi educate" and therefore posed as a straight counterbalance to the more or less dancehall-minded. He played overwhelmingly nice backed by a great band, being able to run each riddim with acoustic instruments perfectly and a nice set of background-singers. Within that show Buju also performed a duet with one of his charming background singers which did very well. Buju was definitely one of the stars of that night.

Rest of the night, as we were able to experience it, was more or less only second sets of the systems that already played before that day. Everything remained as before stylewise - Dancehall-Charts ran up and down with only few exceptions. Diwali, Buzz, Clappas dominated the scene, enuff reason for us to leave the place tired, wet to the bone and a bit enervated. According to reports from others the party went on until Rodigans Grand Finale Show in the early morning hours. (Comments please if you can close that gap!)
