Again from the Rootdown Music camp comes Maxim with his own longplayer, now for nearly 3 years making a name in the german reggae scene. He is a younger singer with a lot of talent, already with some fame and live-presence due to touring with his label-mate - the german singjay Nosliw.

He really shows off some good potential on his first, self-entitled release "Maxim": The already released tunes "Täusch ich mich?" and "Wein nicht mehr" out of the two big Rootdown-Selections " Crystal Woman" & " Musik" Riddim are definitely very good german reggae-songs. Also the combination with labelmate Nosliw on the "Burning" Riddim from Bassrunner Prodcutions and the tune "Solang" on the "Too Long" Riddim from german artist Ganjaman are on top because of being tight tunes: they are not only transporting nice lyrics with good conceptions, they might also be creating a new level for other german singing reggae artists to follow up to.
But it is then the strong and mature tune "Stark sein" which really sets it off on a melancholic and moody riddim, all-around well crafted by the Rootdown in-house producer TeKa. As a single-release, the catchy, positive "Für mich bestimmt" is set to enter maybe even the german single-charts on the 14th of November 2005, the same release date as for the whole album.
Musically on a high productional level, just as all the other latest Rootdown Records releases, this debut LP certainly comes up to the german reggaemassive's expectations.
